Training in Structured Professional Judgement Risk Assessment Tools

Course information

Coventry University are running 4 courses in Sept 2013 as follows:

  • Structured Professional Judgement - 11th September 2013
  • HCR-20 Violence Risk Assessment Scheme - 12th September 2013
  • Risk of Sexual Violence Protocol - 13th September 2013
  • Spouse Abuse Risk Assessment - 13th September 2013

Course Structure:

Each course (SPJ, HCR-20, RSVP, SARA) involves one day’s attendance at Coventry University. If you wish to be trained in just one tool you will have to complete the SPJ day and the relevant day's training on the specific tool after attending the SPJ day. If you want training on more than one specific tool you need to attend an SPJ training day first, and then the relevant training days for the specific tools. If you simply want to know more about the SPJ approach you can attend the SPJ day only.

Training will start promptly at 9.30am and coffee will be available from 9am. We hope that training will conclude at 4.30pm however, this may vary due to the interactive nature of the training.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please note that Coventry University is located in a busy city centre and parking facilities are limited, and so the use of public transport is advised. Coventry University has good bus and rail links and is a short train distance from Birmingham International Airport.

The courses are Approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
